Policies and Procedures

Under 18’s:

Any person under the age of 18 must have an accompanying adult present at all times during the session.

Chaperone:

You are welcome to bring along another person into the session if you so wish but due to the size of the room, this must be limited to one person only.

Data:

Collection of data is limited to that necessary to carry out the running of the clinic for finance and administrative purposes and to ensure effective assessment and treatment at PhysioFitness Ltd. This includes personal data such as your full name, address, date of birth and other contact details necessary for billing private medical insurance companies and to attach to medical letters where necessary for identification purposes. Medical details and history will also be taken to ensure thorough and complete care.

All data is held in line with the guidance from the Information Commissioners Office.

All medical notes and records are held in line with the regulations set by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Health and Care Professions Council.

Infection Control:

The clinic has strict infection control procedures in place which include (but is not limited to): the cleaning of the plinth/bed and equipment used after every patient contact; therapist to wash hands and apply alcohol gel after every patient contact; contact/touched areas such as door handles and gym equipment to be cleaned regularly. Alcohol gel to be available for patient use on entering and exiting the clinic. The physio may wear a facemask during times of the year when infections such as Covid and Flu are at their highest. The wearing of facemasks is optional for patients. All infection control procedures including the use of facemasks and other such personal protective equipment, and cleaning of the clinic, may be subject to further change/guidance in the circumstance of a pandemic or epidemic or whenever the Government or Public Health England require them to change. Procedures will be then followed accordingly.
